Your complete guide from first click to high-score champion
Follow these steps to master Stick Jump
Click the "Play Now" button on our homepage. The game loads instantly in your browser — no downloads or installations needed. It works on desktop (mouse click) and mobile (screen tap) equally well.
You'll see your stickman standing on a platform on the left side of the screen. Ahead of him is a gap, and on the other side is the next platform. The distance between platforms varies each time, keeping every round fresh and unpredictable.
Press and hold your mouse button (or tap and hold on mobile). A stick will begin to grow upward from where your stickman stands. The longer you hold, the longer the stick becomes. Watch the gap carefully and judge the distance.
When you think the stick is exactly the right length, release your click or lift your finger. The stick will fall forward, creating a bridge. If it's long enough to reach the next platform (but not too long!), your stickman walks across safely.
Each successful crossing scores a point and presents a new platform at a different distance. The game continues until you misjudge a gap — the stick is too short and your stickman plummets, or it's too long and he stumbles off the far edge. Try to beat your high score every run!
One input, infinite possibilities
Left-click and hold to extend the stick. Release the mouse button to drop the stick onto the next platform.
Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to grow the stick. Lift your finger to release and let the stick fall forward.
Press and hold the spacebar or any key to extend the stick. Release the key to drop the stick. Simple as that!
Insider advice to push your score higher
Don't watch the stick as it grows. Instead, keep your eyes on the far edge of the target platform. This helps your brain judge the distance more accurately.
After a few rounds, you'll start to develop an internal sense of timing. Stick with a steady pace — don't rush your clicks, and don't second-guess yourself mid-hold.
As your score climbs, anxiety can make you release too early or too late. Take a breath between each jump. A relaxed player is a precise player.
If you're unsure, it's generally safer to make the stick a tiny bit longer rather than shorter. Landing on the near edge of the next platform still counts as a success!
Like any skill-based game, the more you play, the better you get. Don't be frustrated by early failures — each attempt trains your hand-eye coordination.
Playing in a quiet environment without background noise helps you concentrate better. Even turning off music can improve your focus and reaction time.
